Quick connector Hydraulic nut Hydraulic hose
“Operators must ensure all components in the hydraulic system have matching capacity and pressure ratings, and equipment must never be operated above the rated capacity – in fact, good practice encourages using only 80 % of these ratings. “When making connections with quick-disconnect couplers, these couplers must be clean and fully engaged. “Quick couplers should never be disconnected under pressure,†McMaster says.
He adds that each cylinder or jack in the system must be fully supported at the base on a solid, non-sliding foundation and the load should always be centred on the cylinder or jack. When operating hydraulic equipment, the operator should position himself clear of the load, never allowing his hands between the load and cribbing. If work has to be done near or beneath a load, the load should be supported mechanically. Because weld splatter damages plunger rods, seals and hoses, special care should be taken to protect the equipment if exposed to a welding or cutting operation. Hydraulic equipment should never be exposed to temperatures exceeding 82 ËšC.For more information, please visit http://www.bossgoo.com
